New Standard for Automobile Charger
Today, Xiao Min takes you to know more about the latest car charger information. According to Japan's Yomiuri Shimbun on August 22, in order to popularize Japan's fast charger standard (CHAdeMO), the Japan Electric Power (Automotive Fast Charger) Association set up by Japanese automobile and charger manufacturers and the China Electric Power Enterprise Federation (GB/T) to promote China's standard (GB/T). "Japan's fast charger [currently output power is about 150 kW, while China's is about 50 kW, the two countries will seek to promote the practicality of fast chargers with output power of more than 500 kW.
According to the report, it is envisaged that Japan will provide high-speed charging technology and core technology of safety management to China, while China will provide spare parts. The new standard specifications may be based on leading Japanese technology in some areas.
According to the report, there are differences in the shape of the charging pile and the communication system showing the charging capacity of the fast charger. Japan's CHAdeMO, China's GB/T and European enterprises'Combo compete for dominance. As long as the world standard is mastered, it will be convenient for the export of domestic electric vehicles, and it will also benefit the manufacturing and sales business of charger manufacturers who have mastered the core technology.
In 2018, about 220,000 charging piles using China's GB/T 1030 standard were installed, which occupied an absolute number advantage, far exceeding about 18,000 in Japan's CHAdeMO and about 7,000 in Europe's Combo. Even the United States, which has a relatively European position, is likely to adopt the new Japanese-Chinese standards after the new Japanese-Chinese standards become the de facto world standards.
Reported that Japan decided to cooperate with China on fast chargers, also because it is the nearest way to world standards.
According to the International Energy Agency, annual sales of electric vehicles worldwide account for only a single-digit percentage of total car sales. Nevertheless, China, under the leadership of the state, has promoted the popularization of electric vehicles.
According to the report, the basic technology of China Charger originally came from Japan, and there are many similarities between the two. Japan's technology is superior to China's in terms of power output and security, and China also recognizes that cooperation with Japan is the best policy than sticking to its own standards.
